Welcome back to a spicy hot take on the topic of the most life-changing impacts that has allowed my life to flourish ever since I ditched the corporate standard path to pursue my passions - in result to helping others do the same. This episode was inspired by someone who had brought up to me their negative outlook on the coaching community and I couldn't help myself but respond to some of their reasonings behind why they thought coaching should be free, coaches charge so much money, coaches put people in debt and low-self worth, coaches are frauds with no actual creditability, etc etc etc...
So here in this 50 minute episode, your girl woke up a bit more melodramatic today with a side stash of sass because even as I, have made some regretful investments throughout my journey of working with a multitude of coaches in the pursuit of self-betterment alongside business and spirituality - I'm here to remind you of the insane amount of success and top tier confidence I've cultivated ever since I became apart of this community that I never would've gotten the chance to if I looked at it from a bitter lens. Not to mention, only working with a therapist. I have quite the words to say around therapy and what the massive difference between that vs coaching is since it gets so mixed up entirely.
I explain the value behind coaching with actual valid statistics that prove that coaching isn't a scam and is known to be one of the most successful global industries within the last few years that have helped all kinds of people from all kinds of pain points that don't target them in a state of mental illness, but more or so - a place of feeling stuck and uninspired in your life to really KNOW the tools and steps to pursue your goals with like-minded accountability.
I also illustrate that if coaching were free - how would anyone truly invest in themselves? Not to mention, there are a tremendous amount of free coaching tips and support on the internet that are accessible (books, youtube, podcasts, etc) but why coaching? Think of it this way - if you buy a 10$ gym membership vs a $100 gym membership - how likely are you to show up to the gym and actually take full advantage of the VALUE of the money you're paying for? Unfortunately, nothing in life is free and you're either spending time or money to get anywhere in life.
Lastly, aside from speaking upon the credentials most coaches have and what people expect them to present - does that matter more versus actual raw life experience and client referrals and testimonials? You tell me.
Is it bad to go into debt when investing in yourself? I have a lot to say on this in regards to money mindset and proven facts about the ROI when it comes to putting in the work and showing up with the belief in yourself FIRST prior to investing in anything or anyone to "fix" any life situation.
Yes - I had to learn that one the hard way.
