Ep 218 - Ann Kuzik (The Village of Riverside Glen)

For this episode I interview Ann Kuzik, a resident at The Village of Riverside Glen in "Emma" - Riverside Glen's "Memory Care Wing". Ann is navigating life with dementia, and is open about this, but is still able to recall and shares stories from her career in nursing, and her long wonderful marriage to her husband who passed a number of years ago. Ann feels fortunate to have had such a good and loving family - something that wasn't always possible for other people her age who's families were affected by the war. Her father survived being enlisted in WWII, and continued after as a teacher and organist in the church, and she was very close with him. Her sister and her are very close, too, having lived together as adults, and supporting each other through the losses of their husbands. And while she's still adjusting to her life at Riverside Glen, she feels very supported by the staff, who she says are amazing. Thank you Ann for opening up to us and sharing your story!
