For our look ahead at the year in entertainment and sport, we’re going in-house to chat with Andrew Williams, Squiz News Director and host of Squiz Today. Andrew takes us through the stories that stuck with him in  2025, including the saga around the approval of Tasmania’s AFL stadium, and why Adolescence and Baby Reindeer succeeded in a way that algorithm-driven content hasn’t. Then we get into what Andrew predicts to be the biggest themes for 2026: the decline of Marvel, the ACCC's new merger powers and what they mean for Australian media, and the FIFA world cup taking place with a new format and new political tensions.
