Subtypes are emotional patterns: a passion, vice, and/or a basic human instinct.⁣

As a reminder, the subtypes fall into three categories: Self preservation, social, and one-to-one⁣
⁣
We use all three of these, but one is definitely dominant. They help to describe our core concern or focus of our everyday lives and explain how we show up in the world. And they’re just as important as our main type!⁣

Today I’m going to breakdown all 27 of these subtypes⁣

Instincts get triggered into action throughout the day and are the main drivers of our types. The reason the subtypes are so important is once you know a person’s instinctual subtypes, you can understand even more about their motivations and why they do what they do.⁣

The last one in the stack of subtypes is our blind spot⁣
⁣
For example, because social is at the bottom of my stack as an 8, it’s my blind spot. Knowing this, I have to intentionally be aware of how this is important and shows up for other people I love and lead. ⁣
