A Required Course and free will mean that you can't establish the curriculum but it does mean that you can decide what you want to take at a given time. When we give ourselves over the presence behind the course and everything, we see that it is a course in forgiveness, but not forgiveness as we know it when we forgive people. It's a course in forgiving the situation because it didn't happen.
