The reviewer is Geoff Barton. “First spins revealed that Gene Simmons’ solo LP sounded almost exactly like a Kiss platter, that Ace Frehley’s independent attempt sounded well night indistinguishable from a Kiss original, that Paul Stanley’s individual album sounded too close to a Kiss disc to be true… but that Peter Criss’ package was another jar of make up entirely.”
