If the "Special Military Operation" in Ukraine was really about liberating ethnic Russians in the Donbass, why do Lavrov and Shoigu keep calling for "total denazification" and the abolition of the Ukrainian national identity? Defining "Ukrainian" as an extremist ideology rather than as an individuated ethnic group isn't entirely unlike how leftists try to pathologize "whiteness."
