16-year-old Karlie Guse disappeared from her Chalfant, CA home in October 2018. She had just moved in with her father and stepmother a couple of months prior to her disappearance. Karlie's stepmother, Melissa Guse, claims that she woke up to find Karlie gone early on October 13th. But, she has told differing stories to different outlets leading many, including Karlie's mother, Lindsay, to suspect that there is more to the story. Three different eyewitnesses claim to have seen Karlie walking near a highway clutching a piece of paper in her hand on the morning she disappeared. The police conducted searches but the area is fairly remote and it's not known how far the searches extended.
