Why DM-ing People Links to Your Music Doesn’t Work

We've all received random links sliding up in those DMs am I right? Sometimes these links to music or an event page come from people we don't know without any hint of an explanation let alone a, "hello."

To me, this type of "promotion" is not only annoying as hell and un-targeted at best. But at worst (and forgive my bluntness here), lazy and sometimes creepy marketing! Eek!

Here's why quantity over quality never wins and what you can do instead if you're stuck for ideas. P.S. This also goes for tagging 367 people in posts about your band.
