The Transfer Portal, and Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) Won’t Kill College Football. Will Draft Results Hurt FSU Football Recruiting?

One of the nation's top receivers, Pitt Panthers' Jordan Addison, is rumored to be heading to USC for a massive payday. Many fans and commentators, including the Florida State faithful, are starting to worry that NIL might spell the end of college football as we know it. Max and Drake do not agree. However, the current NIL landscape is far from perfect. The guys discuss why the courting of Jordan Addison feels different than other transfer activity to date. They then discuss if the solution is more regulation or if the market will self-correct. Max also poses the question of how fair this system is to smaller schools and if more should be done to protect parity. However, the guys ultimately conclude that there is work to be done but college football will not die at the hands of NIL and the transfer portal.
