Real Estate is Like Playing a Game of Chess w/ Jeff Stephens

Jeff Stephens didn’t build his real estate portfolio up to 35 units by taking a conventional path. It took a lot of work and planning to find and acquire deals with favorable financing terms. Jeff spends a lot of his time building off-market relationships so that he may capitalize on seller financing opportunities. There are a few value statements which are closely held in Jeff’s business: (1) rarely sell; and (2) when you have to sell, it’s okay to “sacrifice a pawn” for the bigger picture.
