In my opinion, this question is a two fold question. Shout out to Dr. Ramani for covering this question on her You Tube channel. In my opinion again, the personality might not be a choice. However, the actions the narcissist exhibits, is definitely a choice. They choose to be exactly the way they are. Don’t make excuses for unacceptable, bad, manipulative behavior.
