Was Peter the First Pope? (292)

Catholics believe that Peter was the first bishop of Rome and the first pope. They also insist that this ‘divinely ordained office’ (the papacy) has been transferred to an unbroken line of legitimate successors to this day. Is this true? Or are there ten logical and persuasive reasons NOT to believe?
