Violet King: Canada’s First Black Female Lawyer

Violet King was descendant from Black Americans who fled segregation in the United States, and then found racism also existed in Canada. Violet would make her parents and grandparents proud when she became the first Black Canadian lawyer in Alberta and the first female Black Canadian lawyer in Canada.
