The Letter That Tried to Break Me

What do you do when someone anonymously mails you a letter filled with scripture… and shame?

In this episode, I read that exact letter—word for word. It called me lazy. Told me I wasn’t a real man. Said I needed to “get a job” and stop asking for help.

For years, I buried it.

But then I read a line in Patrick Bet-David’s Choose Your Enemies Wisely that brought it all rushing back:

“Write out specifically what was said by an enemy that stung the most.”

That anonymous letter? That’s my enemy. And today, I read my response—my Enemy Declaration—out loud.

This isn’t about revenge.
