My partner creates problems are words that most pet dog trainers will hear when they do lessons. You will probably ask them what kind of problems? They will generally tell you they are problems relating to inconsistency. When it gets down to the meat in the sandwich, we generally find out that they manage to keep the dog under control. Then when the partner interacts, they allow unruliness which they feel is counteractive. Not only does this not help the dog, it can also cause further problems in the relationship as one of the couple feels it's unfair. It's a difficult position for a trainer to be involved in these problems as you feel like a relationship counsellor and not a dog trainer.
