Celebrate

Message Summary: In the book of 1 Samuel, we see the people of Israel losing a battle and losing the ark of the covenant (which was a place God chose to be present) to the Philistines. There was a “no glory” word spoken over them and their land. Journey was raised up to stand up to the “no glory” word spoken over San Diego. Our mission is to help ordinary people disconnected from God access the depth of life with God through Jesus Christ. And today we celebrate God’s victories here by creating an altar, an Ebenezer like the one the Israelites constructed when God showed up, representing these victories, our history, and our grip on God in the midst of pain. 25 Series: Join us as we celebrate and commemorate 25 years of this community called Journey. 25 years of being a come as you are church. 25 years of life-changing stories. 25 years of partnering in our local and global communities. 25 years of helping people access the depth of life “with God” through Jesus Christ.
