The Athletic's Blues experts Liam Twomey and Simon Johnson join Matt Davies-Adams to wrap up the international break and look ahead to a trip to the seaside as they prepare to face tricky foes Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

We begin with a runthrough of the fortunes of some of Mauricio Pochettino's men on duty with their countries - including more struggles for Mykhailo Mudryk and pondering why Levi Colwill didn't get a shot for England while a certain out of favour defender did...

Next, we take a closer look at the squad audit Liam did for The Athletic -with a look at the strengths and weaknesses of this incredibly young crop of players which has been assembled.
