We learn from the co-founders the history of this platform, where it began, and how it grew from 2007 until today. Parenting then (pre-social media) was too “judgy and preachy”; Your Teen didn’t want to be that to its followers. Instead, the founders sought to offer real, honest support, showing the rough spots and addressing the truth in their mission with articles by a team of real parents and parenting experts. The women discuss the complexities of raising middle school girls in particular and how they arm parents with information in advance of arriving at that delicate parenting stage, and about some dos and don’ts involved in the college process.
