House of Sky and Breath: Prologue - Chapter 2 (Part 1)

This season, Jac and Amy conduct a literary analysis of Sarah J. Maas' book Crescent City: House of Sky and Breath! This is Part 1 of Episode 1, where they review the prologue through Chapter 2.

Sophie Renast infiltrates the Kavalla death camps to liberate her brother, Emile. Her efforts result in the rescue of Emile and a dozen other children. With the assistance of Agent Silverbow, they run for their lives as The Hind and her dread wolves pursue. Sophie sacrifices herself to ensure her brother’s safety, which ends in her meeting a watery grave. Back in Lunathion, Bryce, Hunt, and her parents attend the debut of Juniper Andromeda at the CCB Ballet. Despite her struggles with PTSD and the unwanted attention her Starborn status brings, Bryce and Hunt make their way to Ruhn’s boisterous party. Despite all the liveliness around them, Bryce and Hunt face a harsh reality with the news of a new Archangel governor.
