Listener Q&A:As compiled, deciphered, edited and sometimes read by Brock Skywalker Armstrong, the Podcast "Sidekick".
When Is It Safe To Exercise After Being Sick?Daniel asks: He has been diagnosed with pneumonia and has been off training for 3 days already. Aside from wanting to heal quickly, not get too out of shape, and mitigate the damage from the antibiotics - he also would like to know how quickly he can return to training once he is better.
In my response I recommend: - My article "Can you Exercise IF You're Sick" -Electrostimulation -Vibration Vinegar For Fat LossEric asks: He would like to hear your opinion of vinegar as a fat loss supplement. Is this a myth of should it be a part of your daily dietary consumption?
In my response I recommend: -Raw, unpasteurized, gluten-free apple cider vinegar Mucus In Your StoolHolly asks: She has been using your Detox Gut Healing Pack for about 5 days and in the last 2 days she has noticed some mucus or jelly in her bowel motions. This worried her a bit as her nursing background tells her that is indicative of inflammation. She knows the pack is gentle and shouldn't be causing any inflammation but she would like to know what could be causing this and if you have heard of people having a mucus reaction before.
How To Fix Your ColonJosh asks: A family member has been diagnosed with colon cancer and had to have a large amount of his colon removed. They found the cancer while they were doing a routine appendectomy so now he has no appendix and very little colon. Is there any supplement or dietary advice you would give him?
In my response I recommend: -Our previous podcast on the appendix -Probiotics -Vitamin D spray or liquid -Colorectal Recovery Program Why Your Stomach Sticks OutMichael asks: He has fairly low body fat but for some reason his stomach sticks out and makes him look fat even though he is not fat. Do you have any suggestions, diet or exercise, that could get rid of this abdominal distention?
In my response I recommend: -Autoimmune Paleo diet -SCD Diet Can A Yeast Infection Cause Alcohol Cravings?Richard asks: Over the last few years he has needed to drink more and more wine in order to get the same effect. It's almost like a craving - he opens a bottle and keeps going until "the job is done" rather than just enjoying a glass. He feels that it is a sugar craving and is wondering if it could be candida (he also wonders if the candida could have contributed to his needing a heart bypass a few years ago). His plan to kill the candida by drinking hefty amounts of New Zealand pinot noir doesn't seem to be working :) Could you talk about what candida is and how to get rid of it?
In my response I recommend: -Detox Gut Healing Pack -Berberine by ThorneFX -Passionflower -Oil of oregano -Enteric coated garlic capsules-Brock also mentions Richard's Book "Life After a Bypass" Building Swim EnduranceSebastian asks: He is new to triathlon (he has a strong cycling background and is a decent runner) and is having trouble building his swim endurance. He can only swim 50m at a time before he gets very out of breath and has to stop. How can he build his aerobic capacity for swimming? What is the best way for him to build his swimming distance from 50m to 750m and so on?
In my response I recommend: -Swim Snorkel (add a CardioCap for a hypoxia effect, highly recommended) -PowerLung -VASA Trainer (+ Elevation Training Mask for added effect) -SwimSmooth book-----------------------------------------------------
