What do decorated trees, Santa Claus, reindeer, mistletoe, and eggnog have do with the birth of Jesus? Nowhere in the Bible is Jesus’ birthday given as December 25th. However, the Romans did celebrate that date, not as the birthday of the Son of God, but as the birthday of their sun god. We’ll look at the pagan origins of common Christmas traditions.
