This episode is primarily about sleep but I chose this title to plug the amazing resource that David (and lots of volunteers) have created to help Australian students successfully navigate their secondary school journey. It’s brilliant and totally free. Okay, on with the show… In this episode of TYP, we chat about why we need to sleep (it’s probably not what you think), powernaps (do they work?), melatonin, how lack of sleep makes you stupid (reduces cognitive function), teenagers and sleep, being unconscious for a third of our lives (seems dangerous), shift workers, the relationship between addiction, anxiety, depression and sleep, jet lag and dodgy butchers who soak meat to make it weigh more (yes, super random - lol).
