The vagina is a muscular canal lined with nerves and mucus membranes. It connects the uterus and cervix to the outside of the body, allowing for menstruation, intercourse, and childbirth.
This week I will be joined by Shelly-Ann Weeks she is a sexologist , Author and Activist with a background in Marketing and Public Relations. The focus of her work has been Female Sexuality where she teaches women how to become more sexually confident. She also work with girls to help them better understand their bodies by helping them be better prepared for puberty and understanding menstruation.
She’s the Founder and Executive Director of the HerFlow Foundation which was established to empower women and girls about their Reproductive Health through education and mentorship. One main objective of HerFlow is to end period Poverty in Jamaican schools.
