Lawrence became kind of a joke and maybe because of that, he kind of gets forgotten for inventing autopilot.
But this made me realize: the very thing Lawrence invented almost killed him. How ironic. And… he’s not the only one. Lawrence is just one of many creators who have had near death experiences with their creations. And some weren’t as lucky as he was.
