WWT #77: Confessional Corner - AC XXVIII 30-76 & Conclusion

Here is part 2 of the Reformers' statements on the relationship between Church and State, especially the bishop's power in both secular and ecclesiastical circles. In this portion, most of the emphasis is based upon the implementation of infinite traditions that burden consciences. What power and rights does the Scripture give to bishops in regards to establishing traditions and customs? Is there any canon law that is immutable (unchageable) that can never be undone?

Finally, we come back to the thesis of the entire Augsburg Confession: "We ask only this one thing that they allow the Gospel to be taught purely, and that they relax a few observances that they claim it is sinful to change" (AC XXVIII 77). Everything in the entire Lutheran Reformation hinges on this one request.
