"Bitte schau unter meinem Bett", sagte die kleine Emma. "Ich glaube, da ist ein Monster." Die Babysitterin lachte und sagte: "Ach, Emma. Monster gibt es nur in Geschichten." Aber Emmas Augen waren groß und ängstlich. "Bitte", sagte Emma noch einmal. "Schau einfach." Die Babysitterin lächelte und ging auf die Knie. Sie schaute unter das Bett. Dann schrie sie. Da war ein Mann. Ein echter Mann, der sich im Dunkeln unter dem Bett versteckte. Emma hatte recht. Die Babysitterin zog Emma schnell weg, und der Mann rannte aus dem Haus. Als die Polizei kam, war er schon weg. Das geschah in Great Bend, Kansas. Am nächsten Tag fasste die Polizei Martin Villalobos Jr. Er war 27 Jahre alt. Er kam ins Gefängnis. Emma was right. The babysitter pulled Emma away fast, and the man ran out of the house. When the police came, he was already gone. This happened in Great Bend, Kansas. The next day, police caught Martin Villalobos Jr. He was a 27-year-old man. He went to jail. Usually, monsters under the bed aren't real, but children's emotions are, and they need somebody to truly listen.
