Chinyelu Asher is a midfielder for the Jamaican National Team as well as the famous Swedish club, AIK. Growing up in the diverse DMV area of Maryland, it set the stage for a career venturing out into different cultures and making a blueprint for the next generation which was not yet made for her. She has played in Kazakhstan, with Champions League regular BIIK Kazygurt, Santa Fe in Columbia, Stabæk in Norway, the Washington Spirit in the USA and now AIK in Sweden. The highs and lows of life on the road, standing up for what you believe in, growing on and off the field, balances between perseverance and understanding a situation isn't right for you, bringing Jamaica to it's first ever World Cup and so much more.
