Brian Saramago is a Portuguese/American professional soccer player currently playing for B SAD in the Portuguese 2nd tier. A deadline day contract which captivated years of blood, sweat, and tears. Brian's youth success at Red Bulls Academy, U17-19 USMNT, and Loyola University left him destined for a professional contract as his next step. But things don't always work out as you plan. Keeping the faith that his time would come, Brian grinded in the shadows, until he took an opportunity in Slovenia, which would only be the beginning. We talk about how players sometimes wait for the "perfect opportunity," which Brian says doesn't exist, instead of using new platforms (of European leagues especially) to showcase, score goals, and move up. We also talk a day in the life, growing as a person and player, ignoring the rejection, breaking points, choosing colleges, big goals for the future and so much more.
