Penn State Football returns from Las Vegas
Last Wednesday, Penn State Football sent a contingent of three players and head coach James Franklin to Media Days. Blue White Illustrated sent Greg Pickel. Today, Pickel joins the show to discuss what he saw and heard from the quartet of Nittany Lions and the rest of the assembled representatives of other schools. He'll discuss what Oregon players think about their upcoming trip to Happy Valley for the 2025 White Out, what Drew Allar had to say in his podium appearance, how the team is the conference favorite this year, and other topics.
Between the Lines
Next, we'll discuss what Franklin had to say in detail in his media roundtable appearance. We'll discuss his comments about the team's special teams progress that he expects this year, how being an older team helps and his thoughts on having Media Days in Vegas instead of a centrally located place like it has been in the past.
We'll get Pickel's thoughts about Franklin's tone and what might be behind the words that he spoke to reporters on Wednesday.
Penn State training camp battles: The headliners
Finally, we'll conclude our look at Penn State camp battles, which start tomorrow when the team opens up camp on Wednesday. So far we've been previewing the backup and role player jobs that are on the table for the upcoming year. Now, we're looking at the top camp battles that fans are thinking about. Of course, we'll start with the wide receiver competition and discuss what we think the team will do with its top three positions, and the battle for snaps behind that starting duo or trio.
We'll also dissect the linebacker battle and what that means for the program this fall. Lastly, we'll preview the nickel cornerback competition and which players we think are battling for the 11th position on the Penn State defense.
