Golden Knights travel to Denver for key Western Conference matchup

The Golden Knights will skate against the Colorado Avalanche Wednesday night. The Avs are 7-1-1 in their last nine games. VGK looks to improve on its win over the Islanders earlier this week. VGK shutout the Avalanche on Nov. 4 7-0, but a lot has changed since that time. Both teams are looking up in the standings as Winnipeg and Vancouver have taken the points lead. And, each team has battled through illness and injuries. The Golden Knights could see the return of Adin Hill tonight. He made 41 saves in the first meeting against Colorado. Logan Thompson, who has started five straight games, missed practice Tuesday due to illness. VGK will have to stop the potent Avs offense, led by Nathan McKinnon, who has a home point streak currently of 22 games. We also talk about VGK's depth on the blue line.
