Julia Gilbreath: From Setback to Stage: Julia’s Return to Dancing

In this episode of the Braun Performance & Rehab Podcast, Dan is joined by Julia Gilbreath to discuss her dance and ACL injury journey.

Julia Gilbreath is a freshman at Sam Houston State University, where she is a proud member of the nationally recognized Orange Pride Dance Team. She is currently pursuing a degree in Fashion Merchandising, combining her love for creativity and performance.Julia’s passion for dance began at a young age, leading her to train and compete in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, and Hip-Hop. However, her journey faced an unexpected challenge when she tore her ACL right before the end of her senior year. This injury tested her resilience as she had to relearn everything she once knew after surgery. After a year of intense rehabilitation and physical therapy, Julia is now fully cleared and back to dancing—stronger than ever.She would love to give a special shoutout to Andrew Do for his unwavering support and guidance throughout her recovery over the past two years.
