Barry S. Hewlett is Professor of Anthropology at Washington State University. Dr. Hewlett's dissertation became the basis for his first monograph, Intimate Fathers: The Nature and Context of Aka Pygmy Paternal Care. He has made over twenty field trips to the Central African Republic and has conducted research in several central and eastern African countries.
