Domonique Matthews is native Memphian who is a strong, single mother of two boys ages 17 and 2. In 2013 she received her Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice as well as working as a registered dental assistant. She is most known for her varied accomplishments as a life insurance broker. Matthews was a teen mom who was determined to fight against all stereotypes. She is a survivor of cervical cancer, and continues her daily fight with long-term lupus. As the youngest daughter of the highly controversal public figure, The Cussing Pastor Thaddeus Matthews, she has tried her best to hide her battles with stalkers, domestic violence, depression, father-issues, public humiliation of negative comments and suicidal thoughts. She is now on a journey to help women with mental illness, and to live by her motto that, “God will never put more on you than you can bear.” Matthews is more conscious of how she allows people to treat her and she has learned to not ignore the red flags as she accepts people for who they are.
