Episode 202: Paths of Glory (1957)

This week at The Film Club we return with a new month dedicated to the films of Director Stanley Kubrick! And this week we’re talking about his war drama Paths of Glory. The film takes place in Northern France during the First World War, General Georges Broulard orders his subordinates an impossible task of taking an anthill that is heavily guarded by German Soldiers. The General who is power hungry and embarrassed by pushing this impossible task decides to kill his own men to teach his troops a lesson for not obeying his unrealistic commands. Colonel Dax who lead his men into this dangerous anthill knows this punishment from the General is so out of line and is determined to save his fellow soldiers.
