It was the first murder Oxford police had seen in a quarter century when they arrived at the apartment shared by Miami University grad Elizabeth Andes and her boyfriend, Bob Young, in 1978. Beth lay dead on the bedroom floor, naked, strangled, stabbed. And Bob stood accused. When two juries acquitted him, it raised the obvious question: Did police let a murderer go free in order to close the books quickly?
