On Jacques Cartier’s first exploration trip in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, he planted a 30-foot wooden cross overlooking the bay of Gaspé (Quebec, Canada) symbolizing the ownership of the territory on behalf of the French King, Francis I, on July 24th, 1534. Enjoy this ENCORE Presentation!
