Leo Alkemade begon zijn carrière als lid van het cabaretduo Alkemade & Bloemen, maar vond meer recent zijn roeping in de tv- en filmindustrie. Alkemade is bekend van programma's als Sluipschutters, Kanniewaarzijn en Echt Waar?!. Nu maakt hij zijn debuut als zanger met zijn cd In het Wiel, waarop hij zijn liefde voor het wielrennen bezingt.
