Chris Williams of Union Surf departed Tech and his native California to open up a shaping bay in Bushwick. He discusses his journey to shaping boards and launching a cut and sew fashion line. Over in a woodshop in BedStuy, Imaginary Surf founder David Murphy is inspired by how wood, cork and epoxy make a longer lasting more flexy board.
