Rachel and her friends chatted in the Elkton Volunteer Fire Department parking lot until it got dark. At that point, Rachel decided it was time to call it a night, and she drove home. Though her car was later found there, Rachel was never seen again. At first, no one knew what could have happened to the pregnant young woman. Did she run away due to legal problems? But soon, a more sinister story would emerge. One of a secret relationship and police misconduct in the small central Virginia town. Now, nearly 19 years later, there is only one suspect in Rachel’s disappearance, but no charges have ever been filed.
