Nick Gutmann grew up playing in the youth academy of the famous Werder Bremen in northern Germany. Unable to break into the first team there, his journey has seen him push to reach a similar level bouncing around various Regionalliga (4th Tier) clubs. That was until he found a new challenge at the University of Kentucky, one that presented an intimidating adventure but also an opportunity of a lifetime. Kicking off a series of episodes focusing on various different paths to help show that your options are endless and that you can always make your own path. We talk all about the adaptations of a new opportunity in a different country, falling out and finding love in the game, the importance of having other passions, mental hardships and of course the best Kentucky slang.
