The guys open with the Carolina Panthers — the injury woes continue and while training camp injuries are par for the course around the NFL, something about this Panthers situation feels different. The answer comes down to expectations. But with injuries come opportunities and Ja'seem Reed is the name to keep in mind between now and the start of the regular season. After a run through of NFL QB tiers and the USA Today Coaches Preseason Top 25 college football poll, Tom Werme joins the show — first with his PGA Tour radio hat on to break down the Wyndham Championship and some significant changes coming to the tour, then switching to his ACC announcer hat for some preseason college football talk.
Ross Martin — big Greensboro guy — drops by to rank the Chapel Thrill concert series, share the vibes around UNC and rate some Cook Out orders because of course he does. Then the show pivots to local business with Modern Apotheca owner Eric Stahl — no, not THAT Eric Staal — for a conversation about NC House Bill 328, which would effectively ban THC products in the state. The NCGA has tabled a vote pending potential federal changes but the economic and personal access implications are significant.
And finally...it's Mount Rushmore SZN! This week they enshrine Gatorade Flavors and Food Cities.
