What can death teach us about life? In this episode, I bring together two parts of my life: My thirty years as a teacher of the Holocaust and my more recent work as a life coach. Maybe you're a doctor, hospice chaplain, or have a different career that involves the end of life, or maybe you've lost someone close to you. These painful experiences can change us and how we think about life and time in ways that can help us to embrace our full, messy, imperfect lives. Most of us don't want to think about death -- our own or that of the people we love -- but death is part of our human life. Just ask Barbie (no spoilers, I promise!).
In this episode:
🌟 Why your life matters, even if you’re no Einstein --- and how knowing this builds self-compassion
🌟 How knowing that "life is too short" can help us get over fear -- and why we shouldn't use it to pressure ourselves
🌟 How the idea of having a life purpose can trip us up and how to choose a more empowering thought
🌟 If you enjoy the podcast, I'd love to have you in more of my world! 🌟
