In 2010, popular American University accounting professor Sue Marcum is found bludgeoned to death in her Bethesda, Maryland home. Authorities first suspect a teenager who was arrested for stealing Sue’s Jeep. However, as details unfold, Sue’s long-time friend, Jorge Landeros, becomes the prime suspect.
