Inspiration | Gladly Looking After

I figured I'd give this a shot! Please give me some feedback on my inspirational poem :)

*inhale*

*exhale*

*inhale*

I remember those days
that were all bad
I remember my ways
that made me sad
I remember the way my face would look mad
No matter how hard I tried
I would fall flat on the floor
I was so mentally anguished dying at war
Looked up at the board and saw 0 on the score
Put my head back down, said I can’t do this anymore

but now looking back at it, it makes me glad
those days when I almost broke my back
and not just physically that,
I’m talking being torn mentally in half
tho metaphysically I grew exponentially on life’s graph

those days when everyone told me to give up
when I didn’t have anybody but myself
I had to forgive, accept, and love myself
because how else am I going to do this?

but now looking back at it makes me glad

My struggles made me into who I am
I couldn’t have designed a better life for myself than
just following and co-creating with the Universe’s plan
Towards finding my purpose like a wise man

Who can try his best in every scenario
Who doesn’t blame but takes responsibility
that can create new abilities
Who can find the truth, not the ego
what you will find is everywhere that we go
Life will begin to show you a new flow
a new wave you can jump on and ride
towards the next adventure
the next chapter
the next story
and then one day...
you can look back, much stronger
and say it makes you glad
