Feeling burnt out at work? You're not alone. Burnout isn't just a buzzword – it's a real, serious condition that can have significant consequences on your health and well-being.
Welcome to Teach Me Something Tuesday on the Healthcare Education Transformation podcast, where we'll be talking about burnout - a condition that has been receiving a lot of attention in recent years, particularly in the field of physical therapy. In fact, burnout is now recognized by the World Health Organization as a disease. Burnout is characterized by feeling exhausted and cynical of someone's job, as well as a drop in performance. It is specifically related to your job and it can affect healthcare clinicians, professors, and even students. In the next few episodes, we will delve further into burnout, discussing how to recognize it, its symptoms, and how to manage and treat it. Tune in to learn more about this important topic.
