In our latest international podcast we had a truly special guest on board: a two times XTERRA World Champion, multiple 70.3 Winner and recently a 7th place at the IRONMAN World Championships in Nice..of course we are talking about the South African legend Bradley Weiss!

Interestingly Bradley started off with no endurance sport at all, coming from a rugby and lifting/gym background. However his fire for triathlon was ignited very quickly and has forever motivated Brad intrinsically since then.

Besides that we get some super interesting insights into his training, the transition from cross to road and vice versa, his special preparation for Nice with Jan Frodeno, then of course the race itself and everything about the time penalty and to round off some insights into his unlucky race at the XTERRA worlds in Molveno just 2 weeks later.

In unserem letzten internationalen Podcast hatten wir einen ganz besonderen Gast am Mikrofon: den zweifachen XTERRA-Weltmeister, mehrfachen 70.3-Sieger und 7. Platzierten bei den IRONMAN-Weltmeisterschaften in Nizza. Die Rede ist natürlich von der südafrikanischen Legende Bradley Weiss!

Interessanterweise hatte Bradley zu Beginn überhaupt keinen Ausdauersport auf dem Radar, da er eher vom Rugby und Krafttraining kommt. Doch sein Feuer für den Triathlon entfachte sich sehr schnell und motivierte Brad seitdem stetig aus seinem Innersten heraus.

Außerdem bekommen wir einige super interessante Einblicke in sein Training, den Übergang vom Cross- zum Straßentriathlon und umgekehrt, seine spezielle Vorbereitung auf Nizza mit Jan Frodeno, dann natürlich das Rennen selbst und alles rund um die Zeitstrafe und zum Abschluss noch ein paar Einblicke in sein unglückliches Rennen bei den XTERRA-Weltmeisterschaften in Molveno nur zwei Wochen später.
