As we move onto the rest of the chapters within the Book of Esther, we see that the Persians were not happy with the children of Yisrael living among them and they were all too happy to get rid of them because they refused to "bow down" to the laws of the king and the people of Persia. One particular member of the court made sure that there was a law made (without the kings full knowledge of why it was made) in order to kill the children of Yisrael, not knowing that Queen Esther was a child of Yisrael herself. This member, "Haman" made sure that he would set up Mordecai would be hanged and set up a spike to get him hanged because he didn't like the fact that he wasn't "worshipped" (by bowing down to him) by Mordecai. Things are happening behind the scenes and The Most High is pulling strings to get the king to see the wickedness of Haman by checking the king's chronicles in order to make sure Mordecai gets rewarded for his efforts to save the king, and this made Haman livid.
