God Sees the Heart - Sermon

When the nation of Israel chose their first human king they chose a man who was tall and handsome. A natural leader and a natural choice. God had other intentions in mind though. In David, God chose the youngest son of a farmer. David was seemingly so insignificant that his father left him in the field to watch the sheep when Samuel came looking for one of his sons to anoint. While we focus on the external characteristics and values of a person, God focuses on the heart.
