We’re back with our first 'Story From The Sole' of 2023, where we talk to real people with real life experiences to understand how they’ve navigated their foot health journey. This week I chat to Alison Alder a 42 year old nurse and mother from Brisbane who’s had a really remarkable ride. It was a podcast just like this that first opened here eyes to the barefoot world before an ankle injury struck her down. Alison was in severe pain. Health professionals insisted she would have to ditch her natural footwear for good and rely on supportive shoes and technologies for the rest of her life. Alison wasn’t having it and her journey back from surgery is an inspiring example of what can be achieved with the right mindset and the support of practitioners who empower you along the way.
